AI SEARCH TRACKER

Four snapshots a day. Across four AI models.

Up to 25 custom buyer-intent prompts queried at 00:30, 06:30, 12:30, and 18:30 UTC across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. Plus weekly prompt-variation generation, time-of-day stability scoring, and US/UK/IN geographic runs. Trend data, not snapshots — and you'll know which trends are real.

§ 01Why it exists

The Scorecard is a snapshot. The Tracker is the movie.

A single AI visibility audit tells you where you stand today. But AI responses change constantly. ChatGPT might recommend you on Monday morning and your competitor on Monday evening. Perplexity might cite your blog post this week and stop citing it next week when a fresher article appears.

Without daily tracking, you're making optimization decisions based on a single data point. That's like checking your stock portfolio once a quarter and calling it a strategy. Worse — without time-of-day or geographic variance detection, the data point you're basing decisions on might be the outlier, not the baseline.

The Tracker turns AI visibility into a four-times-a-day time series with variance detection layered on top. You see trends forming, catch drops the day they happen, and know which trend lines to trust as signal versus dismiss as model-load noise. This is where optimization decisions come from.

§ 02How it works

Three steps. Then four daily snapshots.

01
Add your prompts

Enter the buyer-intent queries that matter to your business. These are the questions your customers ask AI when they're researching, comparing, or ready to buy. TopSlot suggests prompts based on your industry, or you can write your own.

02
Tracker queries four times a day

Four times a day (00:30, 06:30, 12:30, 18:30 UTC), TopSlot sends your prompts to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. Each response is captured in full, timestamped, and stored so you can compare results over time and detect time-of-day variance.

03
Review and act

Your dashboard shows which prompts you win, which you lose, and when competitors appear or disappear. Open the full response viewer to see exactly what each model said. Export PDF reports for stakeholders.

§ 03Variance detection

Three layers beyond the daily snapshot.

ST-2
Prompt variation generation

Weekly batch (Monday 23:30 UTC) generates rephrased variations of every tracked prompt. Same buyer intent, different wording. Surfaces rephrasing-sensitivity — prompts where you win the original but lose a slight rewording. The variations don't replace your originals; they run alongside them so you can see both.

ST-3
Time-of-day variance

Compares the same prompt at four daily snapshots to surface stable vs. volatile rankings. Some prompts are rock-steady all day; others swing wildly between morning and evening as model load and indexing shift. ST-3 marks every prompt with a stability score so you know which results to trust as your baseline.

ST-4
Geographic variance

Proxy-rotated runs from US, UK, and IN exit points expose regional differences in AI responses. The same prompt can return different competitors in different markets. ST-4 captures the deltas so you know whether your category leader changes by region — and where you have to defend differently.

§ 04Capabilities

Six things it tracks.

25 custom prompts per brand

Track up to 25 buyer-intent queries per brand. Choose prompts that match your sales funnel: discovery, comparison, decision-stage. Change them anytime; historical data on removed prompts is preserved.

All 4 AI models

Every prompt runs against ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity. You see which models recommend you, which ignore you, and where each competitor shows up. No blind spots.

Full response viewer with highlight

Read the complete AI response for every query, every snapshot. Your brand mentions are highlighted automatically. Competitor mentions are flagged. See the exact language AI uses to describe you.

Position tracking

Are you mentioned first, third, or not at all? Position tracking shows where your brand lands in each response and how that position changes over time. First-position mentions convert at the highest rate.

Competitor movement alerts

When a competitor enters a query you own, or when you lose a position you held, TopSlot flags it. You see the change the same day it happens, not weeks later in a quarterly review.

Feeds every other engine

Tracker data powers the Strategy Advisor, the Content Engine's portfolio classification, and Autopilot's deploy priorities. It's the foundation layer that makes every other TopSlot feature smarter over time.

§ 05Who it is for

Anyone who needs trend data, not quarterly audits.

SaaS companies tracking category queries

Monitor the prompts that define your category. When a buyer asks AI "What is the best project management tool?" you need to know if you appear, where you rank, and who shows up instead — and whether the answer is the same in the morning and the evening.

Agencies managing client visibility

Track prompts across multiple client brands from one dashboard. Show clients daily trend data in white-label reports. ST-4 geographic variance is especially valuable for clients with multi-region buyer bases.

SEO professionals adding AI visibility

Traditional rank tracking covers Google. AI Search Tracker covers the other half of search. Add AI prompt tracking to your reporting stack and offer clients a service their current agency cannot.

Marketing leaders measuring share of voice

AI search is a new channel. Tracker gives you share-of-voice data across all four models so you can report to leadership on AI visibility alongside organic, paid, and social — with stability scores from ST-3 so you know which trend lines are noise.

§ 07Common questions

Tracker questions.

How is the Tracker different from the Scorecard?

The Scorecard is a snapshot. It runs once and gives you a score at that moment. The Tracker runs four times a day on the same set of prompts so you can see trends, catch competitor movements, and measure the impact of your optimization work over weeks and months.

What's ST-3 time-of-day variance?

Some prompts return stable AI responses all day; others change between morning and evening as model load shifts and recent content gets indexed. ST-3 takes the four daily snapshots and computes a stability score per prompt. Volatile prompts are marked so you don't make optimization decisions based on a single snapshot that happens to favor you.

What does geographic variance actually catch?

ST-4 runs the same prompts from US, UK, and IN exit points using rotating proxies. AI models can return different competitor sets per region — the SaaS that dominates US category queries may not appear in IN responses at all. ST-4 surfaces those regional deltas so multi-market brands know whether their category leadership is uniform or where they have to defend differently.

Can I change my tracked prompts?

Yes. You can add, edit, or remove prompts at any time. When you change a prompt, historical data for the old prompt is preserved and the new prompt starts tracking from that day forward. ST-2 prompt variation generation also runs weekly to surface rephrasings of every prompt you track.

What happens when I hit my prompt limit?

You can upgrade to a higher plan for more prompts, or swap out existing prompts for new ones. Starter includes 5 prompts, Growth includes 15, and Agency includes 25 per brand. Historical data for removed prompts is not deleted.

How accurate is the tracking?

AI responses are non-deterministic — the same prompt can produce slightly different results each run. The Tracker compensates by snapshotting four times a day with consistent parameters and computing stability scores via ST-3. Over a week, patterns become reliable for decision-making. Variation-sensitive prompts surface via ST-2 so you can see when the underlying intent matters more than the exact wording.
